Lakeland Animal Shelter’s 2025 Whisker Walk and Family Fun Day
Saturday, September 27th 2025, 10 am-3 pm
Whisker Walk registration begins at 10 am with onsite walks beginning at 11:30 am

Join us for this fun-filled day that includes raising funds for the more than 4,500 homeless animals cared for by the Lakeland Animal Shelter each year. This is a perfect way to show off your rescue dog and help other animals in need.
There are so many ways to help including:
- Register for the walk and participate with or without your dog.
- Register for the walk and gather pledges from friends and neighbors, compete with other walkers for prizes for the top pledge winners
- Gather a group of friends to form a team of walkers. Register the team and compete with other teams for top team winner.
- If you can’t make it out to the Whisker Walk on 9/27/25 you can still register and complete a virtual walk on your own schedule to support the animals too! Gather pledges and compete with other virtual participants for top virtual pledge winner!
Each walker registered will receive a Whisker Walk 2025 event T-shirt. Top pledge gatherers will be eligible for additional prizes including a $500 visa gift card and a $250 Visa gift card.
Additional activities throughout the day for the whole family include games, food, demonstrations, pet contests and more. Plus, several local vendors will be on hand to display their unique products and information.
All pets present must be current on vaccinations, licensed and wearing proof of such on their collars. All pets must be on leash at all times of contained in an appropriate restraining device (carrier, backpack etc.).

Registration: 10am-11:30am a goodie bag and t-shirt comes with your registration of $40 or more.
Vendor Village: 10am-3pm
Walk: 11:30am
*Shelter dogs will be available to walk with a registration. Dogs will be able to be passed out at 11:30. If you want to walk a shelter dog you will need to let the shelter know by September 24th and cannot be guaranteed for everyone.
