Fetch your sneakers and grab a furry friend for a scenic walk. Whisker Walk is one of our largest fundraising events.
Lakeland Animal Shelter’s 2025 Whisker Walk and Family Fun Day
The donations raised help us care for the 2,500 animals that pass through the shelter every year.
In addition to the Walk, there are plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy such as games, food, demonstrations, pet contests, and more. Plus, several local vendors will be on-hand with information relevant to animal-lovers.
All are welcome to enjoy this family fun event whether you choose to walk or not. We would love to see you there!
Don’t have a dog? Bring a friend, borrow a dog, or walk a shelter dog! (All four-legged participants must be on a leash please.)

Whisker Walk registration begins at 10 am with onsite walks beginning at 11:30 am

** All pets present must be current on vaccinations, licensed and wearing proof of such on their collars. All pets must be on leash at all times of contained in an appropriate restraining device (carrier, backpack etc.).
