Memorial benches provide an option to honor or remember a loved one, as well as offer respite to Lakeland Animal Shelter visitors to help them enjoy their surroundings. Benches may be installed at any time, weather permitting. Donors will be notified once the bench and marker have been installed and made aware of its location. The Shelter cannot guarantee a specific installation date.
Donors are not permitted to add additional plantings, flowers, or decorations to the memorial’s area.
Costs
The cost for a memorial bench is $1,500. This includes:
- Installation of a 6 foot recycled plastic bench with back
- Engraved plaque insert in the back of the bench
Plaques
The bronze plaque will be installed in the middle slat of the bench.
Inscriptions
Memorial inscriptions are limited to for whom the bench is in honor / memory of and the dates of birth and death or dedication. Additional inscriptions, religious symbols, and extraneous content is not permitted.
